The Level 3 Lead Adult Care Apprenticeship is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of adults in need of care and support. Whether you’re currently working in the sector and looking to advance your career, or you’re aspiring to step into a leadership role, this apprenticeship provides the essential skills and knowledge to excel. It focuses on developing practical competencies in person-centred care, effective communication, leadership, and adherence to health and safety regulations. Apprentices will learn how to lead and support teams, promote independence, and deliver compassionate care that meets individual needs with professionalism and empathy. This apprenticeship is ideal for those seeking to progress to supervisory or senior care positions within the adult care sector, equipping them with valuable hands-on experience and a nationally recognised qualification to support career advancement.

This qualification is equivalent to two A-Level passes. Upon successful completion of this program, you will receive:
  • Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Lead in Adult Care Accredited with Pearson Edexcel.
  • Apprenticeship Certificate accredited by Highfield Awarding Body

Program eligibility

The Lead Adult Care Level 3 Apprenticeship typically requires:  
  • Working in a Care Service Role in a senior role
  • A Level 2 Qualification preferably in healthcare
  • GCSE Grade C in Maths and English or Level 1 or equivalent. 
  • If you do not have GCSE or equivalent you will need to complete your functional skills in English and Maths during the programme. 
To complete an apprenticeship, you must be employed in an organisation with your employer's support. By undertaking an apprenticeship, you commit to completing the End Point Assessment (EPA). 

Funding

Cost: Non Levy Employers pay a Contribution of 5% which is £200. The Government will fund 95% Please view our funding page for further information Grant: if the learner is aged 16-18 the employer will receive a grant of £1000.
